A curvy, plus-size body can use specific posing tips that can help capture her body shape. While our expertise can help strike the perfect pose, we thought you’d still want a few tips – so, here it is!

Five impressive plus size boudoir photography tricks

Many women are not comfortable with their bodies, especially with a plus-size. So, it gets challenging to pose in front of the camera without feeling odd.

Here are a few professional tricks you can use without hesitation.

1. The pretzel shape

If you want to show skin but at the same time cover all body parts, use the pretzel-shaped pose. Cross your arms across your upper body while bending one leg over the other leg.

2. From above and a tilt

The best way to accentuate your beloved curves is when you are photographed from above with a tilt. Your professional photographer can play with the angles while you lie in a comfortable position.

3. Cross your legs, point your toes

One of the most sensual plus size boudoir photography poses is where you can sit slightly crossed-legged. You can lean against a wall and stretch your legs along the wall while lying down.

Or, you could sit at the edge of your bed and pull one leg out and the other leg in, while the photo can be shot at leg height. Make sure you point your toes to give that perfect finishing touch.

4. Get your back against the wall and arch!

Arch your back to highlight those gorgeous feminine curves. This pose also helps flatten the tummy for boudoir shooting plus-size models.

Again, you can sit at the edge of a bed, arch your back and look up at the ceiling. You’ll love your look, and so will your partner.

5. Use props

Accentuate your curves by using props like a sofa or a chair. You can sit at the edge of a chair and arch your back to pose a certain way. Your boudoir photographer can help you get the right pose.

You can use other props and wardrobe to accentuate your stunning body curves. Try to be different on these props than you would normally. For instance, when using a sofa – do not sit like you usually do; instead, use the edges, turn with your back to show off your tushie or lie on the couch to strike a stylish pose.
